27-Feb-2010 -- On the way fron Kakara Tea Estate to Abong, I came quite close to this Confluence, so it was obvious to add it.
Kakara is in the middle of the Mambilla Plateau in South Eastern Nigeria. At an altitude between 1300 to 1800 m it is comparatively cool and fresh, and an interesting place to visit. To the Southwest the relatively unknown park 'Gashaka Gumti National Park' can be visited. Amongst others it harbours a big population of West African Chimpanzees. Unfortunately there was not enough time to do so.
The Confluence itself is in a deep ravine with a small watercourse, hidden in dense bush, so the panoramic photos of the plateau have been taken about some 20 km further away.
