08-Aug-2010 -- From Rosendal and N60E6 we headed south and stayed overnight in Stavanger before aiming at N58E7. The weather was fine. We had looked at it last year, we considered hiring a small boat at Korshavn, but the weather was very bad and we decided to come back later. It took us a year. We wanted to hire a boat for a couple of hours to get out to the island where the confluence point should be according to the Google map, a distance of about 2.5 km. The woman at the boat hire office had a bad day and refused to let the boat for less than 24 hours. But out on the quay side we met Hanne who had her own little boat. She volunteered to take us to the island. She was on holiday with some friends at the family cottage in a neighboring fjord. She was new to the island just south of Korshavn and dropped us at the northernly point of the island. The terrain was rather up and down with lots of boulders and rocks so Aase decided to keep Hanne with company while I did the 600 m trekking to the c.p.
It took longer than expected to get to the cp. We should have taken the boat to the south of the island. By the time I reached the c.p. area my back was aching badly, and I decided 28 m was close enough. I did not feel like climbimg down the steep rocks towards the cp which seemed to be in shallow water. About 80 m straight north was a small, but well maintained cottage/boat shed.
The return to the boat was easier. I found a path which took me around all the \"difficult\" places I had passed on the way to the c.p.
