23-Sep-2010 -- This confluence point is located in southwestern Utah's remote Hamlin Valley, but coincidentally just
160 feet south of a dirt road.
(Actually, this might not be a coincidence; the dirt road might have deliberately
been laid out to follow the 38 degree line of latitude.)
Hamlin Valley is reachable via a 14-mile dirt road North from the small community of Modena
(which is West of Cedar City).
The elevation here is more than 6000 feet;
the confluence point lies amid a stand of stunted pine trees.
The view from the confluence point is pretty much the same in any direction, and the dirt road is not visible, despite being only
160 feet away.
