01-Apr-2011 -- This is the second of two easy-looking confluence points close to I-40 that I visited while driving from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Amarillo, Texas (the other being its neighbor to the west, [35,-106]).
A paved road running north from I-40 takes you less than 0.4 miles east of the confluence point, which you reach with an easy hike across pasture (with some scattered cactus plants nearby). The only tricky thing about the hike is getting over the barbed-wire fence at the beginning.
This is a rather dull and boring confluence point, but in this respect, it is perfectly representative of the surrounding landscape.
