20-Apr-2011 -- The several visits to this confluence point over the years provide an excellent illustration of "urban sprawl". The first two visits - in 1998 and 2004 - showed an empty pasture. In 2006, however, two visitors noted that the land was for sale, and available for constructing a home. Then, in 2008, a visitor noted that a house had been built very close to the confluence point (with the confluence point located in the house's back yard). A recent Google Earth satellite image also shows this (single) home near the confluence point.

Now, in 2011, I discovered that a second house has just been built next to the first (on its western side). The confluence point appears to be close to the boundary between these two lots (although probably still within the first).

I didn't want to trespass onto either of these plots of land, so instead I walked out into the still-undeveloped land that's on the other (i.e., eastern) side of the first house. By doing so, I was able to get 70 feet from the confluence point, while staying off the (now landscaped) back yard of the first house.
