21-Mar-2002 -- We arrived within a 1/4 mile of the confluence by snowmobile, then due to terrain we donned snowshoes to reach the actual confluence. Since it was snow covered exact vegetation can't be told, but from what we could see there were white spruce, willow and dwarf birch in the area. A beautiful view of the Stony River mountains, Necons River valley and Two Lakes areas from the confluence. In summer it would require much wandering around various wetlands & at least knee boots to get to this spot.

We originally sent the photos in via snail mail as we didn't have internet then. Now we are in the modern age and can scan them in to post. We are volunteers for Lake Clark National Park who live at the ranger cabin located at Telaquana Lake, which is the closest large lake to this confluence.
