20-Nov-2010 -- Visited this point with my son and two of his friends :). This confluence is near the Maranhão dam, in the center of Portugal in a region called Alentejo. Just downstream of the dam, the valley is used to sow grass for cattle and the small mountains have olive and cork trees.
The Alentejo is famous for its wines but as also other important features: Cattle, cork, Olive oil, cheese, ham… of course an excellent gastronomy! Near Estremoz we can find one of the most beautiful marbles in the world.
After visiting the dam we took the road to north, and this confluence is just a few meters outside the road. In a beautiful sunny day we had no problems to achieve this mission.
