20-Jul-2012 -- This is the 11^th out of 20 confluence points that I reached on a bicycle trip to the North-East of China. The narrative of the trip starts from 41°N 117°E.

I had lunch in the district capital Arunqi (阿荣) and then crossed the border from the province Inner Mongolia into the province Hēilóngjiāng. A beautiful asphalted avenue with four rows of trees on each side lead to a village called Jùqiáng (巨强村), which is just 1.3 km apart from the confluence.

The area is a floodplain of the Nènjiāng River (嫩江) and the terrain is absolutely flat. The area is almost entirely used agriculturally with the main crops being corn, sunflowers, soybeans and rice.

Access to the confluence is trivial. Various tracks between the crops can be used to get closer to the point. Walking is necessary for the last 240 m. Since the field with the confluence was cultivated with young sunflowers, it was easily accessible.

I continued eastwards 20 km further to the town Dōngyáng (东阳镇) where I stayed for the night. Looking at the nice sunny images of the confluence point, it is hard to imagine that an hour later a heavy thunderstorm hit me just before reaching Dōngyáng.
