27-May-1999 -- I had visited the DCP website several times over the years while I was working out in Libya, to see if I was near any of the confluence places.

One time I was in Tripoli and had time off, so I drove to Miṣrāta and made my way to the site. I managed to drive to within about 3 km and then walked to the confluence.

As you can see there was not a lot there.
