05-Апр-2012 – В марте 2012 года стартовала полярная экспедиция «Барнео-2012». Ледовая база «Барнео» каждую весну дрейфует в районе Северного полюса в Арктике, ежегодно создается под эгидой Русского географического общества экспедиционным центром «Полюс» Ассоциации полярников России.

В состав полярной экспедиции «Барнео-2012» входила вертолётная группа авиакомпании ООО «АэроГео» из г. Красноярска, которая занималась поиском подходящей льдины и строительства на ней взлётно-посадочной полосы.

Путь на Северный полюс оказался долгим, с дозаправкой в Подкаменной Тунгуске, остановкой в Игарке для ночлега, в Дудинке – для прохождения таможенного и паспортного контролей, приземлились в Хатанге. 21 марта 2012 экспедиция перешла из материковой стадии в ледовую – вертолёты приледнились в точке «Жалюзи-1». Координаты: N87°06' и E94°24'. Район, где производится разведка подходящей для базы льдины, ограничивается координатами от 88,5 до 89,5 градусов северной широты, и от 90 до 140 градусов восточной долготы, и определяется с учётом дрейфа льдов и на основании данных со спутника. 24 марта 2012 года удалось найти подходящую площадку на паковом льду. Координаты льдины, на которой был развернут лагерь «Барнео-2012»: N89°35' E125°46'.

Задокументированное посещение северного полюса было произведено 5 апреля 2012 около 8 утра, погода была хорошая, –21°С, безветренно.

Кто и как только не "покорял" северный полюс в этом году: и на лыжах, и на собаках, и парашютисты прыгали, даже проходил 10-й международный марафон с финишем на полюсе. Впервые в точке Северного полюса была проведена церемония венчания по всем лютеранским правилам – в национальной одежде, со свечами, настоящим пастором и Библией.

Кроме поддержания в рабочем состоянии всего оборудования и взлетной полосы, из-за дрейфа льдины вертолётной группе регулярно приходилось устанавливать столб «СЕВЕРНЫЙ ПОЛЮС» c прибытием каждой группы туристов. По традиции все, посетившие Северный полюс, должны водить вокруг него «хоровод». Посетили дрейфующую полярную станцию СП39, попарились в баньке и искупались в северном ледовитом океане.

23 апреля 2012 в лагерь прибыл Ан-74, чтобы забрать остатки лагеря вместе с командой. После взлёта Ан-74 экипажи вертолётов МИ-8 покинули льдину. Сезон «Барнео-2012» завершён.

05-Apr-2012 – In March 2012 the polar expedition "Barneo-2012" started. Ice base "Barneo" every spring drifts in North Pole area in the Arctic. It is created annually under the auspices of the Russian Geographical Society by the Expedition Center "Polyus" of the Association of Polar Explorers of Russia.

The polar expedition "Barneo-2012" included a helicopter group of the airline company "AeroGeo" from Krasnoyarsk. The group was responsible for finding a suitable ice floe and building the runway on it.

The way to the North Pole was long with refueling in Podkamennaya Tunguska, with stops for the night in Igarka and for passport and customs control in Dudinka. We landed in Khatanga. On March 21, 2012 the expedition moved from the "mainland" stage to the "ice" stage, the helicopters landed on water at the point "Jalousie-1". Coordinates are N87°06', E94°24'. The area to perform the exploration of base-appropriate ice floe is limited from N88.5° to N89.5° and from E90° to E140°. This area is determined by the drift ice and on the basis of satellite data. On March 24, 2012 the appropriate site was found on the pack ice. The coordinates of the ice floe where the basecamp "Barneo-2012" was deployed: N89°35' и E125°46'.

Documented visit to the North Pole was made on April 5, 2012 at 8 a.m. The weather was fine: –21°С, windless.

Whoever and however hasn't conquered the North Pole this year: skiing, riding on a dog sled, skydiving, even running the 10th international marathon with a finish on the Pole. For the first time on the North Pole the wedding ceremony was held by all Lutheran rules, in national dress, with candles, real pastor and the Bible.

Besides maintaining all equipment and runway because of the ice drift the helicopter group had to regularly install a pillar "NORTH POLE" with the arrival of each tourist group. By tradition all who visited the North Pole should "dance" around it. We visited drifting polar station NP39, warmed up in a bath and swam in the Arctic Ocean.

On April 23, 2012 the airplane An-74 arrived to pick up the remains of the camp with the team. After the An-74 took off the crews of the helicopters MI-8 left the ice. The season "Barneo-2012" ended.
