23-Sep-2013 -- 2nd point of our whirlwind Eastern Europe tour

After a one day visit in Prague, we headed toward Bratislava, capital of Slovakia with this confluence point as an intermediate stop. We got off the expressway south of Brno, and followed the voice instruction of GPS and reached within 180 meters of our objective after a number of twists and turns on very small country roads.

This confluence point is located in a field right outside a tiny village named Nenkovice. The field is recently planted with some kind of vegetable or crop so we try our best to walk around the edge to approach the confluence point. As we were getting within 100 meters of the point, a large tractor came into the field spraying chemicals. Since we do not know what the nature of the chemical, we did not dwell in the field.

Next to the field, by the side of road there is a Red Army monument, and we assumed a battle must have taken place here near the end of the World War II. Along the road there were many plum trees and we had a nice treat.

For the newly initiated line-hunters for the group, they were very happy it was an easy track to reach this point, and makes the long drive between cities enjoyable. After this hunting detour, we continued on our journey toward Bratislava. Our next target was 48N-18E in Slovakia next day.
