25-Sep-2013 -- 4th point of our whirlwind Eastern Europe tour - Hungary
After 3 confluence points in 3 countries we got into the rhythm of hunting for one point each day. Budapest is the only city we have two days in and decided to go after this point on the morning of our 2nd day there.
From where we were staying in central Budapest, this point located about 85 km south. Getting out of the city during the morning rush hour was somewhat slow. Once we got out of the city, the drive toward the confluence point per instruction of the GPS was straight forward. This point was located less than 2 km from the main highway, and we found a farm road brought us within 120 meters from the point.
The field where this confluence point located was dried up sun flowers, and reaching the all-zeros spot was easy.
After the hunt, we drove a bit further south and had a nice picnic by the river which was the southernmost point of our trip. We returned to Budapest in early afternoon and proceed to check out several major tourist sights.
