21-Jul-2000 -- Being so lucky to win a GPS (Garmin Emap) at Microsoft
TechEd in Amsterdam, I surfed the Net to find info about GPS. Here the Degree
Confluence Project sounded as a good idea and Denmark was not represented yet.
Finding that nearest point was around 35 km west of us, my son Stefan and I set of.
The confluence is locate in a small forest close to Asserbo in North Zealand (The
island with Copenhagen on it). We drove to within 600 meters from the confluence
and had to walk through a summerhouse area to get to the forest. Here we did not
have to walk very far before the GPS gave us a hit.
