02-Dec-2014 -- While driving from Albany to Wave Rock, I had planned a couple of easy-looking confluence points en route; this was the first. After first stopping at Porongurup National Park (and hiking its famous "Castle Rock Granite Skyway"), I continued through Mount Barker to Kojonup, where I turned westward, then south-westward. After about 15 minutes driving, I turned onto Settlers Road (dirt), and then onto another dirt road - Mobrup Road North - which passes just 80 m east of the confluence point.

The confluence point lies in a farm field. At the time I visited, it was filled with stalks from a recently harvested crop - probably wheat.

Mine was the first recorded visit to this confluence point since Donna Weston's visit almost 14 years earlier. I found it interesting to compare Donna's photos to mine. One thing that I noticed immediately was that the tree - near the confluence point - that was shown in Donna's photos has since been cut down (or has fallen down). All that is left of the tree now is a pile of logs. (You can see this in my "View East" photo.)
