08-Jul-2014 -- This would be the fifth of seven confluences traveling west along 41N. We were coming from 41N 108W.

We were continuing west along the Wyoming/Colorado border and went south into Colorado on County Road 10N and then turned west onto County Road 72 here.

This was a fairly decent 2WD dirt road that took us to right to the confluence through high grasslands. Along the way we saw lots of pronghorn antelope.

We stopped just before the Wyoming border and set up to record data and take pictures. I also sent a Spot message to announce our successful visit to those that were following us on our trip. I usually take different sets of pictures and when writing these narratives, I could not find all of the directional pictures taken on my normal camera. So on some of these images there will be data automatically written onto the picture by the Theodolite iPhone application since I couldn’t find my “clean” ones.

There are great sweeping vistas in all directions with Pine Mountain to the north, Middle Mountain to the southeast and Kleins Hill to the southwest.

This would have been a great place to camp for the night but we decided that we wanted to have a hot shower and hotel in Rock Springs for the night to better set us up for our continuing adventure tomorrow.

TerraSync post processing of the GPS data reveals the actual confluence location was 0.3 meters southwest of where I had found all zeroes with a horizontal precision of 2.0 meters.

Total round trip time from the intersection of County Road 10 and County Road 72 was 1:51 with 51 km of driving. We spent 30 minutes at the confluence.
