(visited by Hugh Knight and John Crawford) 22-Oct-2014 -- This CP is 3.5 km north of the Wanna Lakes road and 70 km east of the Business Road. John and I had previously done 27S 128E the day before and we had driven the 260 km south through Ilkurlka to the Wanna Lakes road and turned left to proceeded the 70 km to 128°E. We camped on the road and early next morning walked the 3.5 km through sand dunes and spinifex country with the occasional patch of mallee trees. This CP was relatively easy to do and it wasn't long before we were off east to the proposed Cyclone Mine site and on to do 29°S 129°E. |
