29-Aug-2015 -- The confluence was very close to Palmwag Lodge (about 14 km as the crow flies) where we had spent a few days camping and game viewing. By following the advice of the previous visitors to this Confluence, it was fairly easy to reach.
After leaving Palmwag Lodge we travelled southeast on the C43 and after about 10 km located the 4x4 track on the right hand side off the road leading southwest and later due south. This track led us through several small river beds and over a small hill. We passed several large herds of Springbok on the way. After approximately 4 km we were able to drive to within 180 metres of the Confluence.
The Confluence is situated on a stony plain and near a small hill on the southern side. Many game paths were seen as well a plentiful game tracks. Vegetation in this area consisted mainly of Euphorbia damarana, Mopane trees (Colophospermum mopane), the Shepherd's tree (Boscia albitrunca), and the Stinkbush (Boscia foetida). There was a haze in the air due to the fine dust caused by vehicles travelling in this dry, dusty region.
