Der 6. Confluenzpunkt auf unserer Jahreswechselfahrt. Wir nehmen die Fähre von Hoek van Holland nach Harwich und hoffen, diesen Confluenzpunkt in guter Entfernung zu passieren. Wir sind extra zeitig auf das Schiff und versuchen mit der Besatzung in Kontakt zu kommen. Haben dann auch einen der Offiziere und erklären ihm, auf der im Flur aus gehangenen Seekarte unser „Ziel“. Er sagt, dass die Fahrtstrecke sehr eng fixiert ist, das Wetter sehr schlecht ist und er uns nichts Konkretes sagen kann. Nun wir harren mit unserem GPS im eisigen Wind auf dem Hinterdeck und schaffen es bei diesem Versuch auf 400 Meter an das Kreuz zu gelangen. Bei gutem Wetter und aus der anderen Richtung könnte es besser klappen.

Wir denken, auch als nicht erfolgreicher Besuch sollte ein Eintrag in die Datenbank erfolgen, vielleicht ist ein anderer Offizier etwas lockerer am Steuerrad. Weiter: 52°N 1°E.

The 6^th confluence point of our journey. We took the ferry from Hoek van Holland to Harwich and hoped that we would be going to pass this confluence point in a good distance. We were early on the ship and tried to get in contact with the crew. We spoke with one of the officers and explained him on a map, where our goal was. He said that the route was very tight focused, the weather was bad, and he couldn’t tell us some concrete information. Then we were waiting with our GPS in the cold wind on the deck. And with this attempt we succeed to get 400 meter to the cross. If we came from the other side and if there was good weather, it could work better.

We think that we must write this in the data bank as a not successful visit, maybe another officer is a bit more relaxed at the steering wheel. Next: 52°N 1°E.
