08-May-2018 -- During a short trip in Spain we had to drive from Madrid to Salamanca with a rented car. We choose the southern itinerary running west from Toledo to Plasencia that follows very closely the north 40^th latitude line. This allowed us to visit 40N 4W, 40N 5W and 40N 6W in the same day.

40N 4W is located in a field where chickpea was blooming at the time of our visit. So I decided to walk carefully into the field and to stop at 99 meters west of the point, close enough to validate the visit and thus avoiding ripping too much plants.

Of course, the main attraction in the area is the magnificent city of Toledo! Don’t miss it!
