23-Jul-2018 -- Dies ist der Nordwestlichste Punkt der Lofoten Inselgruppe. Ausgehend von Ramberg fahre ich weiter auf der E 10 in Richtung Norden. Von Sortland aus fahre ich weiter auf der Straße 820 und 821 nach Myre. Kurz vor Myre geht die Straße rechts ab in Richtung Nyksund. Es ist eine kleine noch im Ausbau befindliche Schotterstraße die sich direkt spektakulär am Meer entlang ca, 10 km nach Nyksund schlängelt. Die Schotterpiste endet kurz vor Nyksund an einem kleinen Park und Wedeplatz. Hier ist Schluss mit Weiterfahren. An einem Verkehrsschild das verschiedene Städte und Richtungen anzeigt sehe ich wo ich bin. Oben am Schild steht 69° North – 15° East. Ich nehme mein Foto und GPS Gerät und meine Jacke und gehe zu Fuß über einen kleinen Steindamm die ca, 400 – 500 Meter nach Nyksund.. Kurz vor Nyksund entdecke ich auf der linken Seite eine Slipstelle für Boote die allerdings im unteren Bereich zu 40 % mit Algen und Schlick bewachsen ist. Glatt wie Schmierseife. Damit war ein sicheres Ein und Ausbooten hier für mich leider nicht möglich, zudem war es am häutigen Tag wegen der aktuellen Windbedingungen ohnehin zu riskant für eine Bootstour mit welchem Boot auch immer.

In Nyksund eine ehemalige alte Walfangstation wird zur Zeit überall Renoviert und Repariert. Und an den Booten im kleinen Hafen sehe ich, das hier Nyksud sich zum Walwathing Startpunkt entwickelt. Es gibt hier nun kleine Restaurants, Hotells, und Suvenierläden. Ich laufe weiter durch Nyksund zu einem zweiten Steindamm und überprüfe hier mein GPS auf die noch restliche Distanz zum Schnittpunkt.Von hier sind es noch rund 680 Meter in Nordwestliche Richtung. Mit einem kleinen motorisierten Schlauchboot und bei entsprechenden Wetterbedingungen währe es durchaus möglich von hier den Schnittpunkt zu erreichen. Leider habe ich dieses Jahr mein Schlauchboot nicht mit dabei. So bleibt es diesmal nur bei einem Versuch diesen Punkt zu erreichen. Eine weitere Möglichkeit bestünde von Myre aus diesen Punkt bei entsprechendem Wetter zu erreichen. Dies währen dann rund 11 km einfache Fahrt. Ich gönne mir noch ein kleines Essen und fahre dann wieder nach Myre weiter, um auch dann wieder auf dem kleinen für max. 10 -15 Autos fassenden Parkarial platz für andere Besucher zu machen.

23-Jul-2018 -- This is the northwesternmost point of the Lofoten archipelago. Starting from Ramberg I drive on the E 10 to north.. From Sortland I drive on the road 820 and 821 to Myre. Shortly before Myre, the road turns right towards Nyksund.. It is a small gravel road still in development which meanders spectacularly along the sea about 10 km to Nyksund. The gravel road ends just before Nyksund at a small park and Retournigarea. Here's the end of driving on. At a traffic sign showing different cities and directions I see where I am. At the top of the sign is 69 ° North - 15 ° East. I take my photo and GPS device and my jacket and walk on a small stone dam the ca, 400 - 500 meters to Nyksund .. Shortly before Nyksund I discover on the left side Boatramp for boats in the lower area to 40% is overgrown with algae and silt. Smooth like soft soap. In Nyksund a former old whaling station is currently being renovated and repaired everywhere. And on the boats in the small harbor, I see that here Nyksud is developing into a Walwathing starting point. There are now small restaurants, hotels, and Souveniershops. I continue through Nyksund to a second stone dam and check my GPS for the remaining distance to the intersection. From here it is still about 680 meters in northwestern direction. With a small motorized dinghy and weather conditions it would be perfectly possible to reach the point of intersection. Unfortunately I do not have my dinghy with me this year. So it remains this time only in an attempt to reach this point. Another possibility would be from Myre to reach this point in appropriate weather. This will then be about 11 km one way. I treat myself to a small meal and then drive back to Myre, then again on the small for max. 10 -15 car parkarial space for other visitors to make.
