28-Feb-2022 -- This is a repeat visit to this CP, one I attempted in 2012 on the spur of the moment with only a car
Navi which I did not know how to use. Consequently I was not able to get to the CP and it was deemed
unsuccessful. The previous visit is here.
As with the previous attempt this one was made on the back of a long drive from Vienna to Sweden and back, however this
time during the return journey. I was a bit more prepared this time too. My trusty Garmin was set up and I planned my
ferries to allow plenty of time for the visit.
I managed to catch the 10 a.m. ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingør, which left me with over 3 hours to catch my ferry
at Gedser at 13:30, for a journey that should take 2 hours. I gave myself a latest time to leave the CP of 12:15,
giving me plenty of time to complete the 45 minute journey from the CP to Gedser with time to spare.
In the event I got to the CP before 12, it being an easy 1 km drive from the motorway.
I took the necessary photos and was on my way a few minutes after 12. Gedser
was reached in plenty of time for the 13:30 ferry.
This is my first successful visit to a CP in Denmark. I hope more will follow.
