21-Jun-2022 -- After spending the night in Rock Springs, Wyoming, I decided to attempt this remote and rarely visited point just to the North. After driving north on US-191, I turned right onto Chilton Road (a long dirt road), and drove along it for several miles. En route, I could see the fascinating-looking “Boar’s Tusk” rock formation off to the left; I regret not making a detour to photograph it.

Eventually, I exited Chilton Road, and took a series of county and BLM roads (most notably, BLM road 4102, which Google Maps seemed to think was 4104). These are rough, sandy roads that require a fairly high clearance vehicle, with 4WD recommended.

Unfortunately, 1.57 miles East of the point, I saw a sign noting that motor vehicle access beyond this point was closed until July. I thought briefly about hiking from here, or taking my mountain bike, but I was concerned about how long it might take me to get to the point and back, as I needed to be in Aspen, Colorado that evening. So instead, I decided to record this as an incomplete visit; I hope to reattempt this in some future year, probably in July or August.
