14-Aug-2024 -- We set out from Mirage Pourvoirie, about 81 miles to the northwest, in the Lake Amphibian seaplane. It was about an hour's flight to an unnamed lake just south of Lac Nichicun. We taxied around narrow peninsulas and rocks to come ashore about 2/3 of a kilometer southeast of the point. From our camp on shore, we spent about 30 minutes hiking through the mossy terrain.

The point is on a thick mat of sphagnum moss adjacent to a large clear pond. The pond is in a clearing in the evergreen forest. Our boots left deep muddy indentations in the ground.
