04-Feb-2001 -- Arriving at my sister's acreage near St. Paul we had a nice lunch and check out
the new place. A lot of work was done to clean up the yard i.e. remove old farm
buildings and rebuild corrals for my sister's horses. The kids had fun playing
with "Barkley" the Sheltie dog. My sister agreed to preoccupy the kids allowing
me to drive to the next confluence about 20 miles east of her place. Using the
county road allowances I parked as close as I could to the confluence area. The
general area consists aspen poplar forest with open areas for cattle grazing. Lucky
for me the area was heavily crossed with seismic lines making the hike relatively
easy to find the confluence.
