30-Mar-2001 -- This confluence is only about ten kilometres NE of Albury, NSW and less than one km from the Hume Highway, so getting to the location is not a problem.
After a previous trip to the area we thought that the confluence was on property posted with Keep Out signs and owned by the nearby Norske Skog paper mill. However, when we returned with a GPS, we discovered that it was actually about 100 metres outside the boundary of the company’s land.
The spot is only about 600 metres from an access road so we set off across some farm paddocks. The walk was fairly uneventful apart from a brief encounter with an electric fence.
It was late afternoon and the sun was setting so it was difficult to get a decent shot to the west but I thought I would include one anyway.
