01-Apr-2001 -- Though we were running short of time we decided today to make it three confluences (see N46W94 and N46W95). Leaving N46W95 we backtracked towards Long Prairie and then headed south to Osakis. From there we went northwest on I-94 then west on Minnesota 79 to Elbow Lake, the seat of Grant County (see photo) and then northwest a couple of miles on Minnesota 55. Turning south about a mile on a gravel road we came to a long driveway running due west. About then the homeowners' daughter came by on a horse ride. We asked if we could take a few photos on their land and she said sure. We thought the point was near the road but it ended up being nearly to the house as we walked down the driveway. We took a few photos and then headed back down the highway to Minneapolis. We met a friend of Ryan's for dinner at a nice casual Italian place called Casetta's near the Excel Center, I think actually in St. Paul. All in all it was a great day for confluence hunting.
