15-May-2000 -- This confluence is located in the east ditch of a Rawlins County Kansas road. The area is a gently rolling mixture of pasture and cropland (mainly wheat). Latitude 40N is considered the Kansas-Nebraska state line, but due to surveying errors it varies up to several hundred feet away. At this point, 40N is approximately 500 feet south of the section line road which runs down the state line.
