14-Jul-2001 -- We headed north to the village of Hennan, where we drove west and then south again on dirt roads to get on the other side of the lake Storsjön. An old logging road took us down to Ramviken, a small bay in the lake where the confluence sits on one of its shores.

The confluence was located on the other side of the bay from where we parked the car though, so I followed the shore to the other side. The rest of my family waited by the car, as the terrain was too difficult for the kids to walk in. The forest was thick and wet but the shore was full of large rocks so I could balance on rocks at the waterline all the way, about 1 km.

I was afraid the confluence would be located out in the lake but I was lucky, 10 more meters to the north and I would have had to get my feet (or more) wet. This confluence is located in the middle of a large boulder-field, on a suitcase-sized rock among thousands of other rocks. A pretty neat area, which I had not anticipated to find here at all -- confluence hunting really takes you to new, interesting places!

I put a piece of driftwood on the confluence and snapped some photos, waved to the kids on the other side of the bay and hiked back.
