15-Jul-2001 -- After earlier in the day going close to 22s145e and picking up a wood burning stove, my father Fred and myself decided to keep going to this confluence as it seemed very close to the road.

We had driven about 400km on dirt roads to get to the spot and fortunately it was reasonably close to the road. There were no fences and only about a kilometre's walk through short grass that has very few trees. We did stir up a feral pig on the walk though which made quite a contrast to the numerous kangaroos and emus that we'd been seeing all day and luckily enough avoided hitting with the truck. Kangaroos are quite a road hazard in this part of the world.

The area where the confluence is situated has quite a lot of stones about, many of which contain fossils as this is quite a famous dinosaur area.

The weather was our usual fine warm winter weather (27°). However there's been almost no rain in the area since early March.

Anyway, after feeling happy with ourselves for being lucky enough to get an easy to achieve confluence, it was 13:30 and we still had about 200km to travel to get home and about half of that was a dirt road, so we promptly left and managed to get home just before dark.

The next day after having a good look at an interesting rock that I picked up, it appeared to be a dinosaur fossil with what appears to be a skin impression on it, a pity my camera doesn't allow me to take a good photo of it.
