15-Jul-2001 -- After visiting 6 confluences earlier in the week on a journey from Melbourne to Adelaide, I decided to drop in and visit this one on my way back to Melbourne.
It looked a little different from Ross Finlayson's photos, but that'd mainly be the seasonal difference (it's now midwinter [July] and he'd been here the previous March).
As Ross did, I drove down the freeway from Adelaide and turned off through Nairne, left onto Harrogate Rd, then right into the unsealed Military Rd. As I approached the confluence I found a fork in the road: Military Rd turned right (south) and headed away from the confluence, but a road labelled "Acusa Park" headed towards it, approaching to within 140m. I think this was the road that Ross described as Military Rd. Incidentally, Military Rd heads south and eventually meets the old highway from Nairne to Callington (so you could go past Harrogate Rd and instead turn left onto Military Rd.
