07-Jul-2001 -- This was my first attempt at a confluence. I was visiting family and wanted to go out tiki-touring. A confluence would be fun. The closest was this one located near Marahau near the entrance to the Abel Tasman National Park. I drove to Marahau and kept a close eye on the GPS - yet a closer eye on the road naturally!

Soon I was directed towards some bush out the back of the motel. It was on private land so I went to the office of the motel but no-one was about. I decided to leave it for another day, when the owners are about. I managed to get just under 200m from the confluence.
