13-Sep-2001 -- I was able to drive to within about 400 meters of this DC. When the GPS showed I was on the 43rd parallel, I parked and walked west. I crossed an open area which did not appear to me to be cultivated. I read the Stamm's report that the area was plowed when they visited in June of 2000, but the field did not appear to me to be supporting any crops on this date.

After crossing the open area, I was confronted with a wall of trees. I entered the forest and kept moving West. I eventually reached the spot in this rather densely wooded area. Satellite reception was poor owing to the dense foliage.

It was a great day.
