24-Sep-2001 -- I am a television reporter with Belo Broadcasting. Belo is the ninth largest media company in the United States. The company owns commercial television stations in 17 cities, including Dallas, Houston, Seattle, New Orleans, St. Louis, Norfolk, Charlotte and Louisville. The stories I report are aired within the news programs at these stations. We visited this site on September 24 to prepare a broadcast report. I carried a laptop computer with a Co-Pilot USB GPS receiver. It was a sunny and warm day. We easily navigated to within one second of the degree confluence. We were unable to hit the precise mark, because our GPS device indicated that it was located within an apartment building. However, our data seemed to be consistent with the data recorded by earlier visitor to the site. The story we produced aired at many Belo stations between 10-3-01 and 10-7-01. We have no images to submit, as I did not carry a digital camera. However, our TV news story may eventually be available for viewing from this site.
