06-Oct-2001 -- My friend Billy McCluggage and I set off from the road approximately 3 kilometres due South of the confluence on a warm but breezy day. Conditions underfoot were soggy to say the least and we had three river crossings to contend with, but one and a half hours later we reached our objective.
The scenery was breathtaking and the weather was kind to us whilst we took our photographs. The only sign of life on our journey was two frightened grouse and two small frogs.
