02-Apr-2002 -- As the previous visitor noted, we saw little activity on the roads or at the few homes in this quad. This time, even the bovines were nowhere to be found. There were a few, very dried remnants of the indigenous cattle population, but that's about it. Approaching the 39/-96 from the east allows for a nearly direct line to the confluence without dealing with a barbed wire fence. The confluence is located near a dry creek bed.
