03-Mar-2001 -- This was my first conflunce and when I told my dad about the
project he wanted to go also. We left Riverton early Saturday morning
and headed east on highway 136. When we got to Muskrat Road we started
driving north. After driving for about 4.5 miles we came to an unnamed
road that parallel some power lines. This is where we started driving
east and see how close we could get to the confluence. When we crossed
108° W this was where we decided to stop and start walking. It was a
walk of about 1.2 miles through the sagbrush. Occasionally we would
check the GPS to make sure we weren't wandering off course. When we
were close it looked like the confluence was on the slope of a hill.
Since we had two GPSs with us we started from two different points on
the hill. After several minutes of walking we both zeroed in on the
confluence.
