28-Sep-2002 -- We drove to the closest point to the confluence on an old logging road off Alder Creek Road. From there it was a little over a mile of hiking up very steep terrain with loose decomposed granite in places and thick brush in others. About two and a half hours after leaving the truck we reached the confluence. It was located about 50 to 75 feet down to the east of a steep ridgeline with a nice view of the surrounding terrain. After a brief stop to take pictures, drink water, and snack on gummy worms we headed back to the truck.
