27-Dec-2002 -- I wanted to get the last of the four confluences around my house. Since this confluence is located on a farm, I waited until winter so I would not have to trample crops to get to the confluence point. This is an easy confluence to get to.
I drove down Route 64 to the town of Nashville. When you get off the exit for Route 58, you are about 2 miles from the confluence. I headed north from the exit until I got to the field where the confluence was located. I drove by the field to get an idea of how far the confluence was from the road. My GPS said that it was about 0.15 miles into the field from the road. Before passing the field, I noticed a small turn off on the road. I decided this would be a good place to stop. I turned the car around and parked next to a porta-john in the small turn off just on the edge of the field. The GPS now said that the confluence was about 1/4 of a mile away. There were several porta-johns in the area and some heavy equipment, but no signs of construction! I got out of the car and headed for the confluence point. As I got closer to the point, I noticed that the middle of the field was very wet. Of course the confluence point was in the very wet part of the field! I got to the point, got all the zeros on the GPS, took pictures in the appoximate directions of north, east, south, and west, and then headed back to the car.
