23-May-2003 -- This would be the first of four successful confluences visited over Memorial Day weekend 2003. It is an easy intersection that you can literally drive to.
Turn south along a dirt road that intersects Hwy58 eastbound. If you are going westbound, there is a crossover within a mile to reverse direction. This road is just west of the Edwards Air Force Base boundary. Continue south until you get to the buried pipeline, then turn west and drive along the pipeline road. Stop at the 118W line and you will be within 100m of the point. A short walk north and you are there.
There is mostly scrub brush around. Picture #1 is looking NW. Picture #2 shows a portion of my Garmin GPS "family" with their respective readings. Picture #3 is looking south and shows the proximity to the pipeline road.
There were no apparent or visible rock cairns or geocaches at this site.
