07-Jul-2003 -- Visited the confluence on a cycle tour on southeast Iceland. The point is located between two hills approximately 450 m south of the road Fjallabaksleid nyrdri, and 3 km from the popular warm spring Landmannalaugar.

Elevation is 647 m.

The landscape is sparsely vegetated volcanic mountain terrain with glaciers not too far away. The overview picture is taken from about 4 km distance NW of the confluence, which is located in the rightmost of the two small valleys to the right of the larger green hill.
