During August 2003 I drove through British Columbia and into the Northwest Territories on a combined confluence hunting and sightseeing trip. I started close to 49°N and went as far North as 61°N, covered 6,200 kilometers (3,850 miles), did 7 successful confluence visits, and had another 12 confluences that are incomplete. I made a map that shows the route, and the confluences in the order they were done, with the successful ones shown with black markers. The incomplete visits are a mix of actual attempts and situations where I drove somewhat close to the confluence, and included a 'visit' as a way to document the confluence location for future visitors. The first confluence on the trip was 52°N 121°W.

14-Aug-2003 -- After my visit to 55°N 120°W the day before, I left my campsite, drove back to Highway 52, and continued north to Highway 2. At the junction with Highway 2, if you turn right (to the East), it is 2 kilometers to the British Columbia / Alberta border. My GPS showed the border sign to be at 120°00'04.6".

I turned left at the junction with Highway 2, and drove into Dawson Creek to get some gas and food. I then drove back on Highway 2, and turned north onto Rolla Road. After 33 kilometers, I turned right (east) onto Albright Road, and stopped at 120°W, about 6.4 kilometers down the road.

The confluence is located at the edge of a field on the north side of Albright Road. The farm equipment in the West photo was working on the field when I was there.

The next confluence on this trip was 57°N 122°W.

The British Columbia/Alberta demarcation line is passing 3.5 m west of the Confluence.
