11-Mar-2000 -- The 32N 81W confluence occurs mid-river in the Wilmington River just outside of Savannah, GA. Our successful confluence visit was a foray included in a leisurely sail down the river. What started as a pleasant sailboat ride ended with one of our crew being taken off the boat to an ambulance, having been bonked in the head by the boom and knocked unconscious. Fortunately, there was no serious harm done. It pays to have sturdy friends in these adventures.
