24-Jan-2004 -- 1600hrs...Off to do CP 32°S 128°E south of Mundrabilla Station. Camped first night on Eyre Highway near Balladonia Station. Next morning drove to Mundrabilla Station & drove south from highway towards coast & stopped at 32°S point. We managed to find a track which took us to within 5.5.kms of CP and as we were in bluebush/saltbush country, we decided to walk instead of punctures. Terry and I and the dog started walking in and we had only done 1km, when we noticed that Hachi (dog) was going from one shade spot to another. 4.5kms later we arrived,took the photos, found the dog under a bush and gave him a drink and then guess what?.....5.5kms to go back...very thirsty.
