28-Apr-2004 -- We are two 58 years old gentlemen from Sweden who spent an 18 days vacation in the southwest USA in order to visit several National Parks and other interesting places, including some confluence points.

During the visit to Barringer Crater (Meteor Crater) we found that 35Nx111W was only 4.1 km to the southwest of the crater. An ungated gravel road started a short distance from the Visitors' Centre and headed south. After a few kilometres, the posts with no trespassing signs disappeared. Just south of a cattle guard across the gravel road, we took a dirt road leading east. We were then about 4 km southwest of the confluence and there were no posted signs. We drove along dirt roads, directed by the GPS, passed three wire gates and stopped the car on a dirt road 800 m northwest of the confluence. A deer watched us, but escaped when we were 200 m from it. At the confluence point we took the photos and recorded the elevation to be 1719 m.

The Meteor Crater can be seen in the photos taken in the north direction. The overview is taken from a position about 40 m south of the confluence in direction approximately north.

The vegetation type is desert with scattered plants and bushes, some grass tussocks, but much barren soil.
