29-May-2004 -- My wife, Sudjai, and I were traveling from Richland WA to Spokane WA, and took a detour to reach the Dashpoint 35-AJUF (see: http://geodashing.gpsgames.org/), after reaching the Dashpoint I saw we were only about 9 km from the Degree Confluence at 47N 119W, so we headed off to see if we could reach it.
We approached from Road 6 SE, also known as Roloff Road. At an intersection with a road heading north and the northwest we turned left and drove about 130 meters. I pulled the car to the right side of the road. My Garmin indicated we were about 45m from the confluence. It was in a field as reported by Mike Blaszczak back in 1999. The field was planted in some type of hay crop and the irrigation canal was full. I walked to the edge of the canal to take my photos. I took the photos at right angles too, and parallel with the road, so they are ne, nw, sw, and se views.
