23-Jun-2004 -- I was able to visit this confluence point when I had to go to Lightning Ridge(About 140km ESE of the point) on work.
After completing my job I set out from Lightning Ridge at 7am for the long trip home via the confluence point.
Armed with a topo map of the area and my new GPS unit I made my way to the main road (good surfaced dirt road) that runs to the south east of the point. The road passes across the NSW-QLD border at the "Brenda" and "Toulby" Gates which gave me a chance to see if the GPS reading was good for the NSW-QLD border which is on Lat 29°S, which turned out to be very close.
From the main road a track led off to the NNW for about 9 km through light bush until I came across to a recent barbed wire fence that I assumed to be running along the NSW-QLD border. I loaded up my GPS, digital camera, water and spare batteries for the short 700m stroll to confluence point. I followed the fence until it intersected with a much older barbed wire fence that gave me a latitude of 29d00'01"S so I knew I was getting close.
I arrived at the point which was located in a clearing with light timber around.
