04-Aug-2004 -- We took a road trip from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to visit our daughters - one in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. and one in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is one of fourteen successful confluence visits along the way.

We left the Ohio Turnpike near Cleveland to drive south on Interstate 71 to exit 204. This exit is 281 meters east of the confluence. There is a Pilot Travel Center and Truck Stop with gas pumps, eats and treats as well as a Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers. McDonald's is next door. Behind the travel center, to the west, is a large parking lot where truckers can rest and/or fill their trucks with diesel fuel.

Across Avon Lake Road, and east of the travel center, is a Bob Evans Restaurant and a Burger King. East of those restaurants, 622 meters from the confluence, is Norris Auto Outlet with new and used cars. Above the entrance to the Auto Outlet is a large blow-up balloon figure of Uncle Sam with a large American flag below. Further east along the service road is a "Prime Outlet Mall" with over 80 popular discount outlets and a food court.

We parked in the truck parking lot because it was the closest to the confluence field. We felt very small beside the big rigs. A light rain had just fallen so the ground and plants were wet. Soon, so were our jeans. The confluence is in an area of tall wild flowers 100 meters west of the edge of the parking lot and 54 meters south of Willow Road. Alan was able to find the zeros without too much difficulty. We took our required photos and some of the area before having a confluence meal at Wendy's at about 8:00 pm.
