21-Aug-2004 -- Some notes for 47N 105E which is my unsuccessful visit. After confluence 47N 104E, I headed to N47 E105 near lake and town. I approached from north west to south east, heading Buren town. Along power line, rock mountain at left hand, earth road runs near of the confluence N47 E105. For my stupidness, I set GPS to N47 E104.59'. Going valley between mountains, riding over rocks and holes, I got there but found the point is wrong. True confluence is located about 1.6km from there but there was high rock mountain which could not be crossed. The sun is setting, and while seeking I fell down to big talbagan hole with my motorcycle, I quit searching. Some maps show the mountain is not so big and one can go around the mountain to get the confluence, but there is no trustable map of Monglia, I am not certain this is right or wrong. I should seek more but I did not. How damepocchi!

After stayed a night near N47 E106, I go toward north east to this confluence N47 E106, on the road from Erdenedalay to Ulaanbaatar. The road is one of main road and there are a lot of holes and muds, which is not good for motorcycle. Near beautiful rock mountain, I got some water from guanz, kiosk of mongolia. The last confluence of the trip is a little way ahead.

The area is steppe with tall grasses near hill, in sight there is power line and main road.
