22-Jul-2000 -- This confluence, 40 north 85 west is
located in east central Indiana near the town of Williamsburg. I
located the landowner and received permission to photograph the
confluence. Duane and Sara Davis operate a purebred Yorkshire hog
farrowing facility in Wayne County. They also farm 600 acres in Wayne
and Randolph Counties with corn and soybeans. The confluence is located
in a lush alfalfa field just south of their farrowing barn. The
confluence is also located about eight miles from Hoosier Hill,
Indiana's highest point - a whopping 1257 feet.
Photograph two is looking northeast toward the farrowing operation.
Photographs one and three are looking east and west respectively from
the confluence. The trailer and pipe in picture 3 are part of the
manure irrigation system - no wonder the alfalfa looks so good. Picture
4 is the obligatory GPS receiver among the alfalfa. Picture 5 is of
Indiana's high point.
