13-Aug-2004 -- We drove to Miklafell and proceeded on foot the last two kilometers to the confluence. A much easier journey than my mates had on the 9th of May. Then we continued the trip to Lakagígar to view this spectacular landscape formed at the source of one of the greatest volcanic eruptions in historical times.
